James Petite was the founder of Neuro Systems LLC, a medical equipment manufacturing company that designs, develops, as well as supplies and markets monitoring systems for usage in traumatic brain injury and cerebrovascular disease. He was also a co-founder and President of Novus Monitoring Ltd. UK that was purchased by Integra Neurosciences.

For the last 14 years, Petite has been deeply involved with the clinical and research applications of MEG. Petite was a Research Associate Professor, Psychobiology/Neuroscience Program at Bowdoin College, was head of Clinical Neurophysiology Project Section, Nomos Corporation and was Research Associate, Dept. of Neurology-Neurosurgery, Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center, Dartmouth College.

Other achievements include Research Associate/Head of Neurophysiological Research, Clinical Research Center, University of Virginia Medical School, and Research Associate, Dept. of Neurology, Georgetown University Medical Center.

Nat brings over 20 years of software development experience to York Instruments having worked on everything from telecoms embedded systems to enterprise scale content management and data mining. He specialises in leading large C and Python projects, taking them through to long term support.

Chris leads the cutting-edge physics research behind York Instruments new MEG scanner. He obtained his PhD at Royal Holloway College, University of London. His research focused on studying the behaviour of HyQuids and in particular their interactions with other superconducting circuits. After completing his PhD he continued his work as a Post-Doctoral Research Associate at the London Centre for Nanotechnology. He has published papers in the Journal of Condensed Matter Physics and Physical Review B.

Isabel has worked in product communications for over fifteen years both in the US and UK and worked on a series of launches – hardware, software and service. From project manager to account director within a San Francisco agency, she led accounts with a broad range of tech and healthcare clients including Apple, Livescribe, Plantronics and Intuit. She is now based in York, UK and brings her considerable experience to assist UK start-up companies.

Sam has over a decade of experience working with MEG. Having completed his PhD on novel analysis of dynamic physiological systems (at Newcastle), he moved to York to help set up and run the York Neuroimaging Centre, where he maintains an active role. During this time, he developed MEG analysis techniques and helped apply them to a variety of psychological investigations. His first degree was a Masters of Physics (at Oxford) and he is now combining this theoretical knowledge with his practical experience in his role at York Instruments.
